FAQs
How do I choose the right tattoo design for me?
Choosing the right tattoo design is a personal decision. I recommend considering your interests, personal style, and any meaningful symbols or images that hold significance to you. I can also provide guidance and help you create a custom design that suits your preferences.
What is the process for getting a tattoo?
First, arrange for an appointment by contacting me either via email or instagram. Then I will discuss your design ideas, placement, and size during your appointment. Once you're satisfied with the design, I will clean the area, prepare the equipment, and begin the tattooing or piercing process.
How much does a tattoo?
The cost of a tattoo varies depending on factors such as size, complexity, I provide personalised quotes during the consultation, taking into account your specific design and requirements.
Do I need to make an appointment, or can I walk in?
Due to the nature of my appointments, I very rarely do walk ins and would highly recommend booking in.
How long does it take to get a tattoo?
The duration of a tattoo session depends on various factors, including the size, complexity, and placement of the design. Simple tattoos may take as little as 30 minutes, while larger or more intricate designs can require multiple sessions spanning several hours or even days.
Are your licensed and experienced?
Yes, I am a licensed professional with extensive experience in the tattoo industry. I have undergone rigorous training and adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.
What safety precautions do you take during the tattooing or piercing process?
I prioritise the safety and well-being of my clients. I follow strict sterilisation protocols, including the use of single-use needles, disposable gloves, and sterile equipment. I maintain a clean and sanitised environment to minimise any risk of infection.
Can I bring my own design, or do you have a selection to choose from?
You are welcome to bring your own design, whether it's a sketch, photograph, or reference image. I can work with you to refine and adapt your design to ensure it translates well into a tattoo. Please note that I do not copy other artists work. Additionally, I have a wide range of design portfolios available for inspiration and selection.
How do I take care of my tattoo or piercing after getting it done?
Aftercare instructions will be provided to you after your tattoo session. These instructions typically include cleaning and moisturising routines, avoiding direct sunlight, and refraining from swimming or submerging the area in water for a certain period. Following these instructions diligently will help ensure proper healing.
Do you offer touch-ups?
Yes, I offer touch-ups if necessary, but only if our aftercare products are used. We want you to be completely satisfied with your tattoo or piercing, so if any adjustments are needed, please let me know within 3 months of your tattoo, and I will be happy to accommodate you. These may cost depending on what’s needed
What is the age requirement for getting a tattoo?
You must be at least 18 to get a tattoo. Tattooing anyone under the age of 18 is illegal even with parental consent and could result in me loosing my licence for life. I strictly adhere to these regulations and will require identification to verify your age. I do not allow anyone under the age of 16 in the studio.
Can I bring a friend or family member with me during the procedure?
Unfortunately, I do not allow for anyone to accompany you during your tattoo or piercing. This is to ensure the safety and quality standards. If you require someone to accompany you for medical reasons, please inform me before booking.
Are there any health conditions that may prevent me from getting a tattoo?
Certain health conditions, such as compromised immune systems, bleeding disorders, or allergies to tattoo ink or metals, may affect your ability to get a tattoo or piercing. It's important to disclose any relevant medical information during the consultation, and our artists will assess whether it is safe to proceed.
How do I prepare for a tattoo appointment?
To prepare for your appointment, it's recommended to get a good night's sleep, eat a balanced meal, and stay hydrated. Avoid consuming alcohol or blood-thinning medications before your session. Additionally, wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed or pierced
Do you allow the use of numbing cream for those with low pain tolerance?
I do not recommend using any form of numbing creams as non of them are regulated and can cause severe chemical burns and even sepsis. If you do really want to use numbing cream, I advise you do a patch test each time 72 hours and 24 hours before your booking. This is to ensure you do not have any allergic reactions to the cream. If redness does occur on the day, unfortunately the appointment will have to be cancelled and will still be charged the full payment.
Can I see examples of your previous work or portfolios?
Absolutely! I encourage you to browse through my portfolio. This will give you a better idea of my style of work and help you choose an artist whose style aligns with your vision. I do cover a range of styles that may not be shown on my instagram, so please feel free to ask for any references if needed
